Hello Guppymaniacs!

This blogg provides an insight into some nice guppyrooms in Berlin/Germany!

Look at this:

It is a combination of the x-linked Red-Topschword (without any dorsal pigment) and y-linked Metarika from Asia.

And now enjoy the action of this young Platinum Halftuxedo
(aka Platinum Saddleback)

So, stay tuned!

Hi tobi,

I flipped through some of your older posts and happen to see this picture. Can you tell more about its genetic other than the half-tuxedo and platinum? Does this male of yours carry the suppressor gene that inhibits sword growth or was it just because it is still young? Thanks and have a nice day.

with regards,
Shi Xuan

Hi,

on the one hand this male was still young, but also it carried some surpressor genes, too. Phänotypical it was a cofertail.
I sold the platinum half-tuxedo to Ömer Gülmez. The offspring of this male in Ömers breedingroom were varieties between cofertails and unregular finshaped fish. To fix the "shorttailed", Ömer has to put a strong shorttail-x into this strain. Perhaps a x-linked snakeskin out of an good Galaxy Cofer/Roundtailstrain. But I don*t know Ömers breeding-plan, to these platinum half-tuxedos.

cheers tobi
