feeder fish

Hi,

sometimes I am searching feeder fish for my "Channa pulchra" in some local petshops.

Some of these fish are quite nice to show some genetics to other guppy-maniacs and some has got the possibility to start a new breeding strain for our pretty hobby.

Here are the "Feeders of the Week":

Some nice AOC Topswords with mellow tints...

Hi tobi,

Its unbelievable that the feeder pair you have are simply great for a start. I also occasionally see some nice feeders in fish stores but the traits they carry are already found in fancy strains. What are you going to do with the pair anyway? From what I see, the male seems to have some traits of endler albeit also quite promising because it shows a topsword.

Hi,

the coloration of the male looked similar to the color of some pale red grass. He is not afraid at this picture, but you can see only pastel coloration.

I fed this two after shooting the pictures to my Channas, because I have got already two better shaped and prettier colored topsword-strains here in breed.

My Vienna- and some Albino Japanblue Topswords.

What kinds of guppies do you breed?

cheers

Hi tobi,

I breed some vienna emerald double/bottomsword because I like them. The strain I got isn't true breeding but some have emerald green colors with nice pattern and good tail shape. I bred some of the females to these males and hopefully can get some good bottomswords in the next generation. I also have other strains but its too difficult to list them all here, so I only talk about my favorite strain.

Japan blue topsword is something really rare and I haven't seen one before so keep up the good work to maintain them, those that you have are gems to me.
